I love color and light and warmth. And stuff.....pretty stuff. Especially if it has brilliant illuminated color. It makes me feel cheerful and warm and cozy.
My favorite word is antiquity. It seems predictable and stable. I like how Indiana Jones says he works in 'antiquities'.
It seems that using antiquarian methods to produce something expresses warmth and caring. That the effort it took to make or do something was, and is, important. I like the notion of writers clacking-out their next novel on a typewriter. I like remembering how grandmother used a paring knife to scrape the thin skins off of the carrots she harvested from her garden. A salad tastes better when I watch some body rinse a head of crisp lettuce under the tap and pat it dry with a cotton kitchen towel.
